It was built in 1900 in order to link the lakes Guzianka Mala and Beldany; the lock is 7.5 m wide and 44 m long, difference in water level between the two lakes amounts to 2 m. The lock is located on the navigation route Mikolajki-Ruciane Nida. From the bridge you can observe ship locking, i.e.lifting or lowering of ships by 2 m.
