Mragowo is for everyone. If you need attractions and laughter, which some people call health, you may be given those by Mragowo's Mazury Cabaret Night. After a dose of laughter it is time for country music which both Mazury and Mragowo are famous for. Polish cowboys arrive into the town's borders in the last weekend of July. All country music fans from Poland wait for this exceptional mixture of music impressions year by year. Visit also Western City - the new attraction of Mrągowo!

Some people whose hearts and souls are tightly connected to Poland and Polish Mazury come here to spend a little, sentimental while. The Festival of Borderland Culture is held in Mragowo in August. This is a festival of patriotism and beautiful music. Borderland people really have a liking for Mragowo.
The latest attraction in Mragowo Commune is Cztery Wiatry Hill. A skier has a real paradise there. After a tiring day spent on skiing, you can visit many bars and restaurants serving regional dishes and find lodging in the beautiful Mazury town.

Mazury it is not Mragowo only. Not far away, just approx. 20 km from Mragowo there is Mikolajki – the capital of inland sailing in Poland. Those, who arrive in Mikolajki can easily find the relaxation which they have always looked for – sailing, a ship pleasure cruise, kayaking, walking, riding a horse or going by cab and many more. Mikolajki is the pearl of Mazury. In summertime, that is the town that never sleeps.

|
Mikolajki undoubtedly has its unforgetable charm, however, during the winter, there is neither sound of chanties nor fried fish smell out of the tavern. In the evening, you can go walking along the sleepy lakeshore. Such a walk, in a lamplight, when it is snowing, is a real pleasure.
Piecki Commune and its beautiful forests warmly welcome visitors. Almost half the commune's surface is an old forest stand. The rich ground cover of the forest provides perfect conditions for many mushroom kinds, and the same is a paradise for keen mushroom pickers.

The wealthiness of lakes and their unique beauty distinguish Mazury from other regions. The Krutynia - magical river, which is famous worldwide and which attracts many canoeists, flows across the whole Piecki Commune. The Krutynia waterway starts in Sorkwity, goes through many lakes connected by streams and the river, and ends in Beldany Lake. The middle part of the waterway goes across the commune, You can stay in some hostels in Bienki, Zgon, Krutynia, Nowy Most.

If you start the Krutynia waterway in Sorkwity you may be interested in the village name, as it comes from Lithuanian, where 'sargas' means 'guard' and 'wieta' stands for ' place'. And names are given for purpose. For, a great palace by Lampackie Lake guards Sorkwity, and a long time ago just there was an Old-Prussian guard post. In the nearby park you can see an old stand, which local people call sequoyas.
Another attraction is the Dajna waterway. It is a newly-established waterway, but it is worth getting acquainted with.

The whole area gives a visitor the opportunity to find diversity of unique flora, wild game, forest fruit and mushrooms, as well as the pleasure of spending some time in greenness of woods and azure of lakes. The Land of Mragowo is genuinely charming. That is an exceptional place. And there, the legendary Smetek holds the affection to Mazury in his hands and gives a share of it to all visitors. He also guards the chest of denarii for the wealth of the land and the people.
